GP Partner
Partnership agreement in the pipeline with Dr M Majid who has been with the practice for two years and has fitted in well.
Newly qualified GP the practice is looking to recruit, funding has been approved for 2-3 sessions per week for a GP with under two years general practice experience
Contract Monitoring Visit
JB advised of this process and that the practice had recently had the visit with all paperwork in place:
Surgery registration, Staff training and appraisals, Health and Safety, PAT testing compliance and more.
Flu Campaign Flu season begins 1st October. Clinics are planned and it is preferred that all eligible patients have their vaccine at the surgery for immediate up date of medical record.
COVID vaccine early October for eligible patients only: over 75’s, older adult care home residents Immunosuppressed
Shingles vaccine very good uptake of eligible patients. Two dose’s given 6-12 months apart
Childhood immunisations discussed low uptake due to reluctant parents and misinformation. Immunisation Senior Worker in place to support the practice.
Health Checks big push to offer health checks, currently being well advertised on television, radio and buses. Appointment consists of blood test, lifestyle advise, BP, body measurements and this information calculates a CVD risk score.
Triage system still operating well. Clinician signposting if unable to accommodate at surgery. As of 1st October the service will be open all day.
NHS App very useful informative mobile phone app, cuts out contact with surgery and pharmacies
Any other business:
Practice friends and family responses for smartphones only. JG to look into.
Barrier outside front door onto main road request made to Councillor Matt Ward
Blind spot mirror to assist vision of traffic on driveway, request made to NHS property services
